Bigger is better at the Winter X Games 14

"Go big or go home" is a mantra often heard at the X Games, and that doesn't just apply to techniques on the slopes. While I was in Aspen this weekend covering style at the Winter X Games 14 a predominant fashion statement among big air and slope style ski athletes was the look of oversized and extra long slope attire.

The XXXL biggie sizes are worn by guys and even some girls, who are usually about a size Small or Medium. While the look of swimming in your snowsuit may not be practical for everyone, there is apparently a science to this style. I spoke to a young pro skiier wearing a quadruple XL suit and he said the giant sizes make you look like you're catching bigger air.

It all comes back to the scoreboard.
