So Kanye was noticeably absent at #NYFW. However, he crossed the pond to join #LFW and all their festivities. Not quite sure what runway show this was but I'm sure that it's a posh spectacle upon sorts that Sienna Miller and a Victoria Secret model attended. He wore a black leather jacket, plain white T, scruffed, DIY ripped jeans and accompanied this casual look with Air Jordan 1's. Although this look would appear "basic" on many. Kanye has a visual appeal that many can't conquer or posess. I love this clean look, looks noticeablely effortless.
So the umpteeth x 1000th Emmy Awards was this past Sunday and a lot of stars pulled the "regular" red carpet looks with a bunch of tulle, and slim fit bodices. With the exception of Kerry Washington looking fire red. Check it out here. Gwen Paltrow took a huge risk and a leap of faith in her stylist to go with a Indian-esque silohuette and she pulls it off nicely. I love her style, because she keeps it classy and fun at all times.
So out of all the #LFW pictures that I scoped out. The collection by Burberry was just divine and damn near inventive. Although the tribal or "ethnic" esthetic is nothing new it still gives me something new and vivivd. It reminds me of a dope necklace but a dope necklace on your favourite jacket/outter apparel. After all these are all for S/S 2012 season so I expect to see this trend out and about next year.
So other than the clothes that show-cased at #LFW (London fashion week) there were some equally stunning beauty looks that I simply couldn't resist. Sass and Bide unleashed this hair monster and made it walk down their runway like no bodies business. Due to my cultural background I'm not new to seeing these kind of styles or "braid-ups" as I call it. I'm sure all those from ethnic/native backgrounds could relate as well. Although, it's a beautiful/creative sight it can be a painful experience to do this.
So my favourite girl over at 'Karla's Closet' here knows how to push my buttons stylishly. She makes me wanna post looks everyday or every so often, to showcase my fashion choices. I absolutely love this outfit and its military/natural [organic] elements. I think it's very comfortable and while it may be deemed casual it's very intriguing at the same time.
